The Ahruferweg, is especially popular in summer, because it runs from Ahrweiler to Altenahr, largely in the shade, but Caution, even if he is called Ahruferweg (Ahr riverbank?), some slopes are there.

Currently, the railroad only runs as far as Walporzheim. The line to Ahrbrück is scheduled to go back into service at the end of 2025. Until then, there is a rail replacement service. The next stop is "Ahrweiler Markt".
